More than the miracle

Last Sunday’s Gospel was taken from Matthew 14:13-21, and it is a story I’m sure most people are much familiar with. It is where Jesus performed a miracle by feeding five thousand men (not counting the women and children), having 12 baskets full of gathered leftovers. All these were from the five pieces of loaves and two fishes.

These 5 loaves and 2 fishes, which Jesus blessed as He was looking up to heaven, broke the bread and instructed His disciples to distribute them to the people who were gathered to listen to Him. And they were all fed and were satisfied. A miracle indeed. In his homily, the officiating priest said, “if we are to take the gospel as it is - Jesus performing His miracle, I will stop in my homily right now and we will just continue with the mass”

Beautiful one-liners

I happened to dig dip in my email inbox, and I found an email sent to me way back in 2002. These are beautiful and inspirational one-liners, perhaps you heard some of them. I would like to share them here, as I believe they could be useful reminders to us.

Hope you like them.

Beautiful one-liners

1. Give God what’s right — not what’s left.

2. Man’s way leads to a hopeless end — God’s way leads to an endless hope.

Let’s Vault In!
My Eat Bulaga Experience

It was over a year, January of 2006 actually, I have almost forgotten it until somebody reminded me about it. Last week while I was having my haircut, the barber who hardly knew me asked “Sir, di po ba kayo yung nanalo sa Eat Bulaga dati?” (Sir,weren’t you the one who won in Eat Bulaga?) I was surprised because like said more than a year has passed. It was then that it occurred to me that i haven’t written about it yet.

Yes, I won in an Eat Bulaga contest and I was on televesion last year. And there are lots of stories- before, during and after I claimed the price. Now before you think otherwise, I didn’t dance in Eat Bulaga nor did I join the Mr. Pogi contest. I won in their homepartner portion for their Laban or Bawi then, which was the Let’s Vault In.

The Best Gift Ever!

I found this interesting story from one of Jena Isle’s blog, Random Thoughts.

It’s such a beautiful story that I believe I should also have it posted here to share to those who may pass my blog.

— The Best Gift Ever —

A young man was getting ready to graduate from college.

For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer’s showroom and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that it was all he wanted.

As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car.
