A Thread Of Hope
Another personal favorite… I wrote this poem way back in the year 2000. I intended to give it to a friend who was then in deep trouble. Unfortunately, because of too many things that I was doing then, I was not able to give it to my friend… until now.
Ironically, this poem that I wrote for a friend was the one that gave me the strength in the lowest days of my life.
I was always holding… as I was always hoping… that someday, all my problems will soon be over.
But it was so far and impossible really at the time, and undeniably my faith gets shaken every now and then.
It was just a tiny thread of hope that kept me afloat.
And so, here’s my poem… I hope you will like it.
A Thread Of Hope
by Roy
When all is lost and your back is against the wall,
And all you have is just a thread of hope
Hold on to it… hang on to it,
Because, it’s the best that you have.
No matter how low you feel
No matter how hard you’ve been hit
So long as you hold to that thread of hope
All is not really lost.
A thread of hope, a tiny thread,
Will carry you through the tide
Just hang on and don’t let go,
Even it’s just a thread of hope
You will not win if you let yourself lose,
You will not make it if you lost faith
So even through the greatest of odds,
Hang on to that thread of hope.
